Born to a Puerto Rican family, Linda Diaz is a vocalist and songwriter hailing from the Lower East Side of NYC. Her music blends r&b and jazz with melodies influenced by the genres she grew up listening to, like salsa, folk, hip hop and alternative rock.
Linda began performing professionally at a young age, before taking time away to pursue a career in competitive chess. After graduating from Oberlin College in 2017, she returned to her musical pursuits and began making a name for herself in New York’s underground, DIY music scene.
In November of 2018 Linda self-released her first single ‘Flowers in the Concrete’, featuring Queens rapper Akinyemi. Her debut EP ‘V’ was released this February, featuring the single ‘Fall in Love’. The 5 track offering is in honor of her late grandfather, Victor Diaz - with whom she was very close and shared a birthday.
